Diamond Developers has launched its knowledge and consultancy arm SEE Nexus, a company that was formed by merging the departments and resources behind the development of many projects including The Sustainable City. SEE Nexus will work on harnessing the knowledge behind the model city to provide comprehensive sustainable solutions in alignment with the ‘Dubai Clean Energy Strategy’ and the ‘UAE National Green Growth Strategy’. With a focus on strengthening the social, environmental and economic pillars of sustainability, the company is uniquely positioned to provide 360-degree consultancy services that are borne from practical experience and applicable sustainability concepts.
Faris Saeed, CEO of Diamond Developers, commented: “We want to keep accelerating the move toward sustainable developments, not only by building futuristic cities, but also by sharing knowledge and encouraging other developers to build sustainable green buildings, developments, and cities.”
He continued: “Two years into The Sustainable City project, which is now fully operational, the company has proven that such a model is not a dream but rather an existing reality and a working blueprint for what future cities could look like. We are working with SEE Nexus to duplicate this model and export it from Dubai to the world, to raise standards in sustainability solutions by developing projects that simulate future cities of 2050.”
The Sustainable City is an award-winning, first-of-its kind, proof-of-sustainability-concepts project where SEE Nexus and Diamond Developers’ joint vision for sustainable living, work, education and entertainment is being realised in its entirety. The first phase of the project concluded in December 2016 and the second phase will be completed in 2018, including a hotel, a school, a rehabilitation hospital, and the SEE Nexus headquarters.
Dr. Muawieh Radaideh, CEO of SEE Nexus, commented: “Our headquarters will be a state-of-the-art renewable energy exporting facility and home to the SEE Nexus Institute. The institute’s role has already been activated as a centre of excellence for training and innovation that is providing education and support for sustainable initiatives across the region. The institute will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on all of SEE Nexus’ projects.”
He continued: “With our hands-on experience and years of research, testing and implementation of sustainable designs, we are poised to take our experience global for the benefit of our international clients and partners. By translating sustainability concepts into practical and scalable sustainability solutions that consider the local culture, environment, and economy, we aim to drive innovation and change to develop communities in our region and across the world.”
Companies working with SEE Nexus benefit from solutions that enhance the complete lifecycle of projects; engage the community and key stakeholders; innovate to meet community needs and local conditions; and sustain social, economic and environmental performance. With The Sustainable City taking shape and nearing completion, SEE Nexus is well on its way to becoming the global leader and trusted advisor in providing sustainability solutions in the built environment.
